i mean... do you have proof that god DOES exist? Cuz you know... i have the theory of evolution. Sir i would like you to review what you wrote just now, and understand that while i am not defending nor supporting the creationist point of view, i am asserting that, by nature, the THEORY of evolution is just that, a THEORY. When you equate how the process of natural selection functions as well as how DNA functions, you will often find that, aside from mutations, all the necessary traits are present in predecessors for those who inherit those genes, that do survive natural selection, to survive.
To make it simpler, or put it in layman's terms; Species do not "magically" adapt to their environment, or changes in it. Those who are more adapted to a change in the environment, are "naturally selected" by process of elimination, however, those specimens, came from the previous family that died out, so there is not "new" genetic information, only the variants that came from a certain group within the offspring. They are still the same animal, in essence, and always could have been that animal, however, previous to whatever created their advantage in the wild, they were at a disadvantage, for not being the same as their parents.
IE; evolution occurs within a set limit of changes and while the combinations of traits in possible offspring are immense, they are not infinite. A duck will always be a duck, no matter how it changes its appearance.
While we are on this topic i'd like to present something for all of you to watch and consider, it's probably one of the best debates i've watched. It deals with opposing viewpoints on Creationism and Evolution.
What's your point? And also a 'duck' will not always be a 'duck' in terms of what we've named species in the past. We're not called apes now. Are you trying to argue that when humans were created as humans and we changed a bit. but that everything didn't stem from the very first cell? | |
