| On March 20th, it is the Persian new year. What is the Persian new year you may ask? Us Persians call it Norooz, and it is pretty much our new years but only in spring. Things we do to celebrate this Iranian Holiday is set up a table, on the table we place certain objects that resemble spring and the new year. The objects are; A goldfish or two, cat grass, painted eggs (Sort of like Easter), A few plates, and one plate that contains fake jewelry and coins. Other things we do in this Holiday is celebrate with family of course, but here is sort of my favorite/selfish part of Norooz. The young adults, 18 and under usually, get free money from the Adults and it usually stretches from $20+. Either way i want to say happy Norooz North Academy, and hope you enjoy the upcoming spring ahead of us.    | |
