A new, better chatbox

First topic message reminder :

Knowing how badly the CBs are when it comes to being used in forummotion, I'd figured that I could suggest this. This is mostly because of the unability to moderate trolls effectively when it comes to the CB's that forummotion provides, but there are some other benefits also.

The one I was particularly thinking about was a 'Pokemon showdown server' here are the pros and cons of this (and yes, I will address the tittle). Keep in mind I can set this up easily

Pros

• The Mute and warn feature. This would allow moderators to mute. Kicking is only a warning for say of a user doing something that they should not, and a warn to a straight up ban can seem harsh. A mute would be a time out in a sense, something that our current CB does not have. Also instead of a kick, you have a warn.
  
• More customization. Instead in our current CB, where you ahve glows and sparkles and whatever, you get a custom 80x80 avatar that you can have (and by have I mean use DP to get) and a bunch of other avatars to chose from. Plus depending on if you are a slifer or whatever usergroup you are in, you get a fancy symbol next to it (and I'll make sure that that symbol does not have any extra powers).
  
• Other rooms. This is not a singular chatbox, but a server that can have multiple chatboxes. So users can have (once again, buy with DP) their own room which users can join. This can also be used to have multiple discussions in multiple different rooms instead of having multiple discussions in the same room.
  
• Getting kicked for being AFK. This will not ever happen. And its annoying when it does happen. So if you have to go, when you come back you won't find yourself disconnected from the CB.
  
• Bots. In the future, we could easily set up a potential bot that would be like a help bot or whatever you want this bot to do. But having a bot can be pretty cool and handy.
  
• Highlighting. Users can highlight certain words so that while they could be duelings, they will get a pop up that says what the message with the highlighted phrase contains. This can also allow moderating to become a bit easier, sense if a staff member has naughty words highlighted, they could easily flip back to that tab and punish accordingly. I know this helps me a lot when I am staffing the main pokemon showdown server's "roleplaying" room.
  
• The Voice (+) Rank. This rank would show users who are above and beyond and good rolemodels for the academy. These users could also be potential staff if you want to go at it that way.
  
• A staff chat. Do I really need to explain this one?
  
• The current CB is horribly designed. Its laggy at points, and it just lacks things. Overall this would be a general upgrade.
  

Neutral

• Formatting. This is just preference, but some users may like to use bold or Italics and some users could be annoyed with it. While Bold an Italics still do exist, individual colors, underline, and emocons won't exist. This is only neutral because some people like having to at any time change their color, while some users find it annoying (like myself but thats because i come from a place where formatting is a warnable offense).
  
• The Name "Pokemon Showdown." Okay, this is sorta ironic for an academy to have a pokemon showdown server sense they are both rivaling games, and the pokemon battles could get in the way. But who honestly cares? I don't think users would use the pokemon battling feature. Generally the "Pokemon" part can be somewhat ignored for its usage here if we do decide to change CBs.
  

Cons

• Offsite. This (and any other CB I can think of off the top of my head) goes offsite. Meaning newer users may have a hard time finding it. Not to mention it would be difficult to tell who is tested and who is untested. Well, I have a solution for this.
  
  The CB here doesn't necessarily have to be gone, it can still be used for something else: A Help Room. Any Newer users or anyone who has questions can come into this room, and the staff here can test the newer users and answer questions. But we would just have to disallow idle chat in it, sense it can be distracting towards actually helping people.
  
  As for allowing us to define if someone is tested or untested, this is very simple, lets give each usergroup a rank. The untested will have no rank, therefore can be easily Identifyed
  

Feel free to discuss. If you like the idea, great, if you don't say why. I'll probably add to this list and such and I would love to address your arguments.

Second, you're not answer my question that I even answered for you because you don't have a valid logical response to it.

Third, I'm not, I'm just saying we have can get something better.

Fourth, So to get you to stop responding like you said I have to stop responding with counter-arguments to my own suggestion that i proposed. I don't know how that makes sense.

and finally, do I have to mention that Inu already made up her mind and agreed that we need to improve the chatting experience. So once again, please stop.
