| This deck is going to be the start of a new deck profile series. Then I thought why not do a deck commonly overlooked around here but is a rising force in the game(sadly not a rising competitve force but very good fun deck xD). GHOSTRICKS O.O
KEY CARDS - Effect:
Cannot be Normal Summoned, unless you control a "Ghostrick" monster. Once per turn: You can change this card to face-downDefense Position. When this card is flipped face-up: You can add from your Deck to your hand, 1 "Ghostrick" monster whose Level is less than or equal to the number of "Ghostrick" monsters you control. You can only use this effect of "Ghostrick Jiangshi" once per turn.
This card primarily is your main searcher in the deck. It sets up most of all your Ghostrick monster plays.
- Ghostrick Stein:
Cannot be Normal Summoned, unless you control a "Ghostrick"monster. Once per turn: You can change this card to face-downDefense Position. When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can add 1 "Ghostrick" Spell/Trap Card from yourDeck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Ghostrick Stein" once per turn.
This card searches all of your Ghostrick spells and traps in the deck. Primarily effective for setting up protection plays.
- Ghostrick Ghoul:
Cannot be Normal Summoned, unless you control a "Ghostrick"monster. Once per turn: You can change this card to face-downDefense Position. Once per turn, during your Main Phase 1: You cantarget 1 "Ghostrick" monster you control; its ATK becomes equal to the combined original ATK of all "Ghostrick" monsters currently on the field, until your opponent's next End Phase, but if it does, only that monster can attack this turn.
This is the decks attack builder being able to combine all the attacks of the ghostricks you get out.
- Ghostrick Mary:
Cannot be Normal Summoned, unless you control a "Ghostrick"monster. Once per turn: You can change this card to face-downDefense Position. When you take damage: You can discard this card; Special Summon 1 "Ghostrick" monster from your Deck in face-down Defense Position. You can only use this effect of "Ghostrick Mary" once per turn.
This card provides that special summoning factor that ghostricks need as well its great in stalling.
- Ghostrick Lantern:
Cannot be Normal Summoned, unless you control a "Ghostrick" monster. Once per turn: You can change this card to face-down Defense Position. When an opponent's monster declares a direct attack, or when a "Ghostrick" monster you control is targeted for an attack: You can negate the attack, and if you do, Special Summon this card from your hand in face-down Defense Position.
How do you think ghostricks can last those early moves before they wreck you. Its all the freaking stall. This card is one of their key stallers
- Ghostrick Specter:
Cannot be Normal Summoned, unless you control a "Ghostrick" monster. Once per turn: You can change this card to face-down Defense Position. When a "Ghostrick" monster is destroyed by an opponent's card effect, or by battle with their attacking monster, and sent to your Graveyard: You can Special Summon this card from your hand in face-down Defense Position, and if you do, draw 1 card.
Just more and more stall. Also a little draw power this card gives.
- Ghostrick Panic:
Target any number of face-down Defense Position monsters you control; change them to face-up Defense Position, count the number of "Ghostrick" monsters among them, and if you do, change up to that many face-up monsters your opponent controls to face-down Defense Position (min. 1).
Your big protection ghostrick card and kills a lot of plays. Use wisely o.O
- Ghostrick Alucard:
2 Level 3 monsters Your opponent cannot target other "Ghostrick" monsters, or any face-down Defense Position monsters, for attacks. You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 Set card your opponentcontrols; destroy that target. You can only use this effect of "Ghostrick Alucard" once per turn. If this card is sent to theGraveyard: You can target 1 other "Ghostrick" card in your Graveyard; add that target to your hand.
This is your main exceed option that most people should and will opt into. Its the back row popper and good in nearly every situation
- Ghostrick Spoiled Angel:
2 Level 4 monsters You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a "Ghostrick" Xyz Monster you control as the Xyz Material, except "Ghostrick Dorklord". (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) When this card has 10 Xyz Materials attached to it, you win the Duel. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; add 1 "Ghostrick" Spell/Trap Card from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn: You can attach 1 "Ghostrick" card from your hand to this card as an Xyz Material.
Its like the ghostrick version of Downerd. Also highly valuable in recycling.
- Ghostrick Dullhan:
2 Level 1 monsters This card gains 200 ATK for each "Ghostrick" card you control. Once per turn, during either player’s turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Materialfrom this card, then target 1 face-up monster on the field; halve that monster's ATK until the End Phase. If this card card is sent to theGraveyard: You can target 1 "Ghostrick" card in your Graveyard, except this card; add that target to your hand.
Its like the monster version of the spell card shrink. Can be highly effective against many of high attack monsters. Strengths
- There often able to protect themselves easily due to them always being in defense
- The field spell attributes to alot of protection plays
- There able to spam in certain situations.
- An off balance deck that no one is pretty much use to defending against.
- There lack of power is made up with their speed.
Weaknesses
- Its prone to cards like deck destruction virus.
- There lack of power can also be a weakness against high damage decks.
- They rely of being set…..tooo much.
- Dark Simorg…..end of story
- King Tiger Wanghu…..too good. On the bright side people don't use him
- As fast as they can be they take time to develop. They take at least 3-5 moves to even get their speed going.
The thing about ghostricks is they are fast yet slow. They start out slow and crescendo into a living nightmare given the right cards. The reason they haven't and wont do well in competitive play is because of not only that early slowness but because of the fact they are very low powered. Things like beelze make this deck cringe because they simply just aren't made to handle high attack dmg offense. The bright side of that is their spells and traps make it somewhat easier for them to get around that. So your spell and trap line-up are critical. Now I already know I'm commiting a cardinal sin in my builds of ghostricks by not running vanitys. Which by the way if you don't run vanitys in every deck this format just ....get rekt son. Back to my point, I don't run it because of the fact that this is a high octane special summon heavy attack and often when I have tested the vanities it ends up hurting me a lot more because it stops my stall plays. So I'm willing to take a risk in not running it rather than risk it and have a lot more problems than I need. Either way though this is a fun deck none the less. Though it is a very powerful one so enjoy and have fun with them. Now if you don't care about TCG/OCG mixes here is what a solid ghostrick build would be like. Now if your like "It must be TCG Only" Welp the deck wont be as good since some of the key cards are OCG exclusive.....mainly the extra deck key game changers that is. Now homework is to try and test this bad asses out ^.^ good luck everyone. Any questions I'd be happy to answer them.

| Nice lesson and I agree with mostly everything. But..Have you forgotten about the strongest combo of Nekomusume and Ghostrick Night? And also JackFrost is very crucial to the deck with House in the field. | |

Thats depends on how you play. If your going for more of a stunnish ghostrick you might use it but its not really the strongest combo in the deck. The ghostrick build I'm running focuses more on their speed rather than stun plays. Even then I probably wouldn't use it cause there are so many better options than that combo. Like don't get me wrong its a good combo but I see so much more and better options when I make ghostrick stun decks. Like i can run a skeleton build or like a stallish stun. Those id run it in. But the build im showing you shows less of the obvious things about ghostrick and more of the inobvious. This build is about speed and really it takes what 3-4 moves most times and you could spam like crazy. The builds i showed emphasized their speed less of their stun ability cause pretty much everyone knows that. KM88 will do another ghostrick lesson later and it will be more of the stun aspect others probably are thinking of and looking for. | |

| Aha, I see. So it is all about opinions and what way you want your deck to be after. Thank you. ^^ | |

| yep mate every deck is opinions ....well most of them that can run in multiple styles. Like i said this style im showing you is the speed version and not the stun version but KM will elaborate more on the stun version when his lesson is up | |
