Here is how it works
Millennium items:
There will be seven millennium items.... These items will start off as first place prizes for obelisk/chaos only tourneys.
Once these 7 items have been won by seven obelisk blue/chaos members... they will gain access to the abandoned dorm and become a shadow duelist.
Taking a millennium item from someone:
To take a millennia item from someone you must beat a shadow duelist with a millennium item 3 times in a match....
Meaning within that duel session you must request a rematch 2 times and win in addition to your first match that you won.
When the opponent loses the millennium item... you take both their millennium item and shadow duelist status.
Which means you become a shadow duelist? Pretty neat huh?
In summary, its an alternate way of becoming a shadow duelist.
