PLEASE READ: How Testing Should Be Managed Around NA

Recently there has been a concern with some of the test results not being explanatory enough or blatantly making statements that don't suggest improvements to the testee or the deck. I want to lay some ground rules because this has been happening for way too long. Some of you might discredit me for the lack of testing I do here, but I've been doing it long enough to know how results should be for the testee and the tester.

1. Give a thorough explanation to the reasoning behind the scores you give. Your testee often doesn't know why the deck isn't competitive or unoriginal or even what they misplayed about. Make this aware for them so that they'll learn from their mistakes and do better in the future rather than leave the rubric text in.

2. Give suggestions to make their decks or plays better. I won't name names, but I've seen a lot of "Same as all the other builds" around in tests. Please refrain from doing this and please make SPECIFIC SUGGESTIONS to tell them what they should play to make their deck a bit more prepared or original if that is the main concern. Not every deck is the same. Their decks might be similar in concept and play style, but every player has a preference in their cards.

3. Be considerate of your testee (Constructive Criticism). Don't tell them to change their deck or play style entirely. Instead, understand and consider why they play certain cards or play a certain way and suggest to them an alternative and explain how it may be better than their current strategy or use.

Another one that should be obvious is to be active with testing. I know I'm a hypocrite and I don't seem to advocate this, but this is a no-brainer and should be followed regardless of who tells you to do so. There may be more suggestions, concerns, and guidelines in the future but for now these are the following issues I want to address. Thanks for you time.

TL;DR - I'm concerned with how testing is going, please make suggestions rather than saying nothing, explain your scores, be considerate, and be active.
