Mermail against Fire Kings

Its well known to fire king players that mermails are a bad match up.

why he say cannot negate it?

if we compare mermail and fire fist, actually just because mermails speed is faster than fire fist only.

FF don't counter Mermails and Mermails don't counter FF. The pic you posted shows just a regular, normal duel.

Well Mermails and FF's are enemies

normally we say is enemies because their deck have common power like constellar with evilswarm

fire fist and mermail also have some common like their boss monster effect is very similar.

but actually fire fist just get support from formation, mermail is different, mermail effect work by itself.
fire fist effect also does not around graveyard, mermail does not depends on continous spell/trap too.

so we can see fire fist and ninja is rival, because there have common thing.

well in fact mermails don't have a good matchup vs FK because mermails like to control the field but that's not easy against fire kings who like to blow everything, a very bad matchup for FK are the decks who have their play setted up in grave like DW, dragon rulers but that's a nice win you did there

You see, I was not referring to their play styles I was referring to their lore and background story of the two archetypes which you probably never read of, they are in fact enemies

Actually FK's have a good match-up vs Mermails as mermails are a control deck with those bahamut shark plays which are very frequent. The only card that can provide defence against Garunix constantly nuking the field ._. is Gaios but if they go on a garunix loop you can't do much as a mermail player unless u OTK them or something. Other than Gaios mermails don't have many things that protects them from da big chicken.

In the story the Atlanteans and Fire Kings were constantly at war. Atlanteans wanted to take over the Fire Kings home island but Fire Kings fought back against the Atlantean forces and forced them into a stalemate. It was then that the Atlanteans decided to call forth the power of the Mermails a long lost tribe which were destroyed a long time ago for unknown reasons. So they are enemies in the story but in the game itself FK's have a bad match-up.

PS: I beat Kleinoel with FK's. He was usin mermails  So yea IMO fire kings have a good match-up vs mermails not a bad one.
