| Hi Ra Yellow; this will be the first homework under the new revamp collective. The goal with homework is to look at yugioh in different persectives to help you get an edge over your opponent. A Common term heard by many is Card Advantage. We read a lot about +1s and -1s but its almost never put into practice outside of deckbuilding. So this week we'll be focusing on Hand Advantage. Here are some cards and their advantages explained: - Spoiler:
Mystical Space Typhoon is a very popular card in the meta right now especially with the rise of pendulums. MST takes away one card from your opponent -1 while you lose a card as well (MST itself) for a -1. Thus if you do the math you each lose 1 card. If you both start with 5 cards both end with 4 cards after this play resolves. Thus MST is a 1 for 1. Pot of Greed is potentially one of the most broken cards in the game. On Paper this card is very basic and nothing special. However, in terms of card advantage it's a +1. Not only that, it's a free +1 that requires no thought to achieve. This is why Pot of Greed is not healthy for the game. Raigeki Break is a -1. This is because your opponent loses 1 card while you lose 2 (the discarded card and raigeki break itself). Although, decks like Burning Abyss can abuse this to a 1 for 1 or even in some circumstances a +1.
So, looking through these examples, I want you to keep in mind card advantage while playing. Although a play might seem obvious, there might be better way to make the play while keeping a better card advantage over your opponent. your Homework is as follows: List 3 meta cards (can include staples). Of the 3 cards you choose 1 of each must have a +1, -1, or a 1 for 1. For example, I would choose MST, Raigeki Break, and Pot of Greed then list 1 card that could be any of the 3 depending on the circumstances. Good Luck!

| pantheism of the monarch: discard 1 monarch s/t to draw 2 cards -2+2=0 but in graveyard: banish this to choose 3 monarch s/t and randomly add 1= +1 therefore pantheism of the monarch is +1
one for one discard one monster(-1) to special summon a level one monster(-2+1)therefore it is a-1 (but it is still useful due to can summon a wide range of monster)
ring of destruction destroy one of your opponent monster and inflict damage to both player, therefore = -1+1=0(but due to it is a trap so it can be useful)

| I feel this is a bit 2 easy and obvious. More slifer hw idk but yeah hw = hw - 3 cards:
Daigusto Emeral. You use his effect to put 3 cards in your deck and then drawing one. This gives you a draw. A +1 card advantage agaisnt your opponent. Reckless greed. is a +1 card for 1 turn. You draw 2 cards but lose 1 becasue reckless greed is the card you lose. This comes with a cost if you have a bad draw and cost yuo game but if you draw a another reckless greed or got other cards to draw it wont be that painfull to not have a draw phase. Still it gives the sligth +1 card advantage. Trade - Is a 1 for 1 card. Wel more a 2 for 2 . You do discard for example the blue eyes and ttrade-in goes to the grave too. That is a - 2 then you can draw 2 cards what makes it a 2 for 2 . You wont get a card advntage but you might draw something usefull.
btw who is the Ra leader??? confusing getting hw from diff people O.o

Thank you for your criticism I'll definitely take it into consideration. Card Advantage really is an easy concept but it's still not really thought of for most duelists. For example: Emeral's effect is a +1; but to summon him is a -1. So overall resolving Emeral is a 1 for 1 until you activate his effect twice. (You start with 2 monsters on board; end with Emeral on field and 1 in hand).

| i know but i meant it inta other prespective also u can still do it twice that turn and the next turn + i only aimed for the eff itself not about the summoning. If do summon it and next turn i activate it its eff . then that turn i get 1 + card advantage | |
